Fred Graham/Petruchio (Kiss Me, Kate), Opera Theatre of TCNJ, 2004

Opera Theatre of TCNJ's production of Cole Porter's classic, Kiss Me, Kate was well received by enthusiastic audiences at The College of New Jersey in mid-November of this year. In what was easily the most obstacle-ridden and exhausting run of a musical that Wayne Hu has ever been involved in, he suffered a very badly bruised right knee, and lost part of his vision, on separate performances, and sang with severely swollen vocal cords during all four shows. Nevertheless, the cast and crew as a whole put on one hot run. Kiss Me, Kate will be a memory not soon forgotten.
