Taiwan-born lyric baritone Wayne Hu is fast making a name for himself in the NJ/NY metropolitan area as a versatile actor and singer on both the operatic and theatrical stage. He appeared in his first professional show during his sophomore year in college at the age of twenty, and has been in countless Equity and non-Equity musical and classical theatre productions as well as in operas with various companies throughout the Northeast region.
Seasoned beyond his years, Mr. Hu has performed with such companies as New York City Opera, Opera Company of Philadelphia, The Princeton Festival, amongst others. His repertoire ranges from the theatrical roles of Rodgers & Hammerstein to Gilbert & Sullivan; from William Shakespeare to Stephen Sondheim, while his operatic roles include those of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's comedies to the music dramas of Richard Wagner.
